What Is the Cheapest Sandals Resort?

Sandals publishes its own shortlist of its most affordable resorts: Ochi, South Coast, Negril, Caribbean Cay and Regency La Toc. Right now, two of those five are closed while they're rebuilt after Hurricane Melissa, so if you're traveling before late 2026, start with Ochi, Negril and Regency La Toc.

Two cautions. First, Sandals Montego Bay, which some older guides call the cheapest, is also closed until its scheduled Dec 18, 2026 reopening. Second, independent price comparisons disagree about the middle of the pack. Halcyon Beach, Negril and Royal Bahamian land in very different spots depending on who's comparing. Treat any middle ranking as rough, and compare the actual rooms for your dates.

The Most Affordable Sandals Resorts

1. Sandals Ochi — Ocho Rios, Jamaica (open). On Sandals' own most-affordable list. With roughly 500 rooms, it's one of the larger Sandals resorts, and Royal Plantation guests have exchange privileges here.

2. Sandals Negril — Seven Mile Beach, Jamaica (open). On Sandals' list. A beach-first pick on one of Jamaica's best-known stretches of sand.

3. Sandals Regency La Toc — St. Lucia (open). On Sandals' list. It sits on a 220-acre estate, and guests can also play at the two other St. Lucia Sandals, Halcyon Beach and Grande St. Lucian.

Why the Room You Pick Matters More Than the Resort

At every Sandals, prices climb from entry-level rooms to Club Level, then to butler suites, then to the specialty rooms: overwater villas, swim-up and rondoval suites. That climb within one resort is usually bigger than the gap between two resorts' entry rooms. Dates matter too: holiday weeks and peak winter dates usually cost more than quieter periods. To find the real lowest price, compare the same room tier across two or three resorts for your exact dates.

How to Find the Lowest Price for Your Dates

1. Compare two or three resorts on the same island for the same dates. Exchange privileges can give you more than one resort: all three St. Lucia Sandals share privileges, as do the two Barbados Sandals, and Royal Plantation guests can use Ochi.
2. Price more than one room category. The step from entry-level to Club Level is different at every resort.
3. Flex your dates by a week or two if you can.
